This is an exceptional holster – there’s really not much more to ask for from a holster than this. While I’m not a lefty, this would probably be the holster for AIWB/IWB left-handed shooters.
The boltaron thermoplastic material feels higher quality than the traditional kydex holsters that I have had in my hands.

It’s comfortable to carry and wears far less on my slide than my other OWB holster – while there isn’t a ton of friction when re-holstering or drawing, there is a more than sufficient deal of retention with this holster. I have tested running, jumping, mountain climbers, and various other exercises that would otherwise be overkill for testing the retention of a holster. Overall, it is very positive that the points of friction that result in retention do not cause undue wear on the firearm.

The holster is comfortable in the 1 o’clock position, which is likely the only position that it will be used in for the purposes of this review; however, it is a versatile holster. Most people already know about DCC clips – they are tough, retain their original position, and are extremely durable. You might develop some calluses from donning and doffing your holster at first if you haven’t used them before, but these clips will stay put and bite into a 1.5″ belt. The ride height adjustment isn’t versatile enough to support extreme cants if that is what you’re looking for – though it is a moderate adjustment window, I am able to cant the firearm a several degrees in either direction.

The mod wing does not leave anything more to be asked for, for my personal build (average – athletic) – the optional mod wing height adjustment included in the package was useful for keeping the grip of the firearm drawn into my side.

That said, I chose this holster because I did not want an integrated wedge – I wanted the option to customize. Fortunately, velcro attaches very well to this holster for added customization without leaving residue, YMMV.

I also chose this holster in the event that if I ever wanted to switch over to an Enigma OS system, I could do so without having to purchase another holster.
